C'ers-How do you take your SFS?

I am currently taking benefiber like this: 1/2 tbsp with lunch, 1/2 tbsp with dinner, and 1 tbsp at night with tea. my question is, do c'ers find it better to take it in divided doses, or in large amounts? what makes your BM more frequent and/or better? i konw heather says to take it in divided doses, but i wanted to hear your opinion

I take my acacia twice a day: 1 heaping tablespoon first thing in the morning (pre-breakfast), 1 heaping tablespoon with dinner. Of course, all my meals have soluble fiber in them as well.
I don't know if changing the timing would help my C particularly. My C is much more affected by getting regular exercise and IF - the SF is mainly there to stop the rumbles and cramps and nausea and eventual D that would come from eating IF alone.

I'm with you, astrochick. I take mine twice a day, in the morning and evening, which seems to work for me. The reason I do this is primarily because of my schedule during the day...it is sort of inconvenient for me to take my SFS at work, especially because I take the powder form. I would advise you to experiment, though, to see what works best with your body and your lifestyle.

and I have my Metamucil every morning mixed into a smoothie. A big lump of it.It works for me very well and when I make sure to take it, I'm guaranteed a BM at least once a day.
