I am new here, sorry if this is too much information, but I keep getting a red rash/burning itching bum crease, its fully inside my rectal area and on the sides going all the way up to the top of where my tail bone starts...Its too painful to wash the area, wipe etc...It gets worse after I eat certain things, and it flairs up when I get allot of loose bowel movements...can someone help me with this???what can I do to relieve it without running to a doctor for meds..since I dont have insurance....

Try nappy rash cream! And use wet wipes on your bum. Make sure you clean the area thoroughly (ya, I know it hurts like hell, but if you don't it'll only get worse ) and dry it gently.

If all that doesn't work, get to your doc for a check-up, but it sure sounds like nappy-rash. Ah, the many joys of IBS.

Once when I had a terrible attack of diarrhea (with a flu), in desperation I used some of my son's diaper creme. INSTANT relief. Zincofax. See if you can get some. IT helps immensely. If you can't get it, look for something with Zinc Oxide of at least 40%.

I agree. Any kind of diaper rash ointment with lots of Zinc Oxide in it.

I also agree about the baby creams but you may also try something for a yeast infection if you have ever had one before- it could also be a bacterial infection that would require a prescription.
