Hi everyone! Well, since we all seem to share honestly and openly, I am wondering if anyone ever has undigested food appear in their BMs? This happens to me quite frequently, and I asked my doctor about it and he seemed unalarmed but I thought it was a bit odd...
Not to be gross, but there are times that I can see EXACTLY what I ate!!! YUCK!!!!

I had that happening pre-IBS anyway... and growing up in a houseful of boys, discussion of poop was pretty commonplace, so I know other "normal" people have this going on too.

Well, when I explain that corn is insoluble fiber and undigestable I find everyone knows what I'm talking about... and I think that's why!

If this happens too often, it may be that because of the IBS-D food is going too fast thru your system and you are not receiving the benefits of the good food that you do eat...perhaps a digestive aid like Ultr-zyme might help you get the nutrition from your food better...helps me. Elaine

Thanks for your insights! I do take digestive enzymes, but still often (when I have D) seem to see lots undigested food in my stools! I know that corn can be hard to digest, but I was seeing other foods that I didn't think were as "common." My doctors didn't seem alarmed, as I said, but I was curious how common this was for others and whether, with time, these symptoms would somehow remit a bit (e.g., digestion might become less problematic)?
Thanks again for your insights!!! I appreciate it!!!

Consider these foods your worst triggers and avoid them like the plague. Also, remember to chew your food thoroughly - most people do not chew nearly throughly enough - this will help a bit.
