as i posted previously i've been having a problem with hemmes, a fissure, or a combination and been miserable. i tried a few rx's from my gi, some otc junk, sitz baths, and still nothing was helping. however, i started thinking about other things that could help... if someone told me standing upside down until the blood rushes to my head and it explodes would help i would have been open to it. any way, i started using more tea tree oil for my hair, small scratches, skin blemishes and decided to try it on my poor bum. imagine my delight that is has helped the problem at least 80% and after i tried it i search on the internet and it does show to be an effective treatment. so everyone suffering with this that wants to try it... i use the tea tree oil from The Body Shop which is in a tiny green bottle ($6). i fold my toilet paper into a small area, put a few drops of the tea tree oil on it, and then apply to the hurting area. i wouldn't use too much the first. but after you put it on you will get a very cool feeling which is wonderful for the pain. i'm putting it on every time i go to the bathroom.
so please try this if you get desperate like i was. i use tea tree for so many things as it is a great astringent, has an invigorating smell and leave you feeling incredibly clean. also the shampoo helps with oily scalps, which i don't have one...just love the smell and tingly feeling on my head. i swear there's nothing tea tree can't do!
i hope all is well with you guys!

i know so many of you aren't dying to know the state of my bum... but i wanted to give an update that thigns are 100% back to normal on that end. i'm never going back to rx's or otcs again for these problems...just good ole mother nature.

Queenie, So does the tea tree oil help with both pain and swelling, the two prominent aspects of hemmes? I am very interested, as I can't ever seem to get the hemmes to go away completely Creams don't seem efficient enough.
Thanks, Nicole
