I'm currently taking tropical fruit Viactiv chewables. Anyone else have problems with this one? I'm thinking this may be causing my current episode. I'm also taking Equate (generic Fibercon), 4 pills twice a day. Any suggestions would be welcome!

Hi, and welcome!

Have you read through the information provided on the HelpforIBS main page (especially the part titled "Frequently Asked Questions about the IBS Diet")? There is a section on taking vitamins and minerals. Here's a link: What about taking vitamins and minerals? Do the fruit flavored Viactiv chewables contain dairy or artificial sweeteners?

Also, try doing a search on Equate or Fibercon. I don't use it, but I know there have been many discussions about it on the boards.

I don't take that one but you might check the ingredients and be sure there's no Sorbitol/Mannitol in them. If so, it could be causing you some trouble.
