Hi - Not sure if anyone remembers me. I was online a couple of months ago. Then I did all the tests suggested, endoscope, cholonoscopy, blood work, stool samples, CT scans, etc. The doctor determined that I have a hyatal hernia and colitis. I have seen two nurse practitioners and my main dr. They all say different things! The first nurse told me that I have also inflammed stomach lining, ulcers and ulcers in my intestions. The next nurse told me I have no ulcers in my stomach, but ulcers in my intestions. The actual dr. that performed my tests says I have IBS, with hyatal hernia and MILD colities, no mention of ulcers. Now, I am sure I need to change doctors because he is so passive about it all. I get D often, but some of the meds he put me on make me C. He took no account of all the D I NORMALLY get and perscribed Zelnorm. Of, course, I have been reading up on this site about it, and have decided NOT to take it. He's nuts!! It says specifically...do NOT give to patients who have problems with D!!! Anyway, my hubby is military and we are in the middle of nowhere. He is the closest dr, and with all the issues I have, it is hard to drive an hour or two to the next dr. What do you think I should do???

Next problem, I was taking Bentyl 3 times a day and it was doing great. I still had pain and attacks, but not as bad. Then he was postitive I would enjoy Librax, so he put me on it. So far, the pain has returned and I am having more attacks. I know it isn't my food, because I am living off of rice, broth and banana's until I get under control. So, my question is, you guys out there with experiance with both Librax, Bentyl and D, which perscription do you think helps best?

This is what I think, tell me if you agree or see any other options. I need to get my chart, go back to my base dr (which could take months) and get a new referral to a specialist. AND, I need to quit the Librax and start back on Bentyl. The only reservation I have with Bentyl is that it makes it hard to sleep at night.

Thanks, and I appreciate all your help.
