I've been feeling really cack all evening (fibro flare and then eating CHEESE for lunch as my brain couldn't cope with anything else ) and I finally went and made some herbal tea (chamomile & vanilla, lavender and Heather's fennel)...WELL. After only 1/2 a cup some FOUL gas starting coming out (and still is ) and now I feel tons better. No wonder I felt awful with that trapped in me.

Thank the Lord for Fennel. And for Heather and these boards fo convincing me it was worth braving the flavour!

Cheese!? Mmm...describe it, please...It's been so long. I hope you don't have an attack. Do you think the gas is related to this?

I have some pretty fast "results" with fennel as well. I'm excited that Heather now sells the tea in individual bags. When I get paid, I'm hoping to order some and maybe those CDs as well. I keep saying I want to do it--I just need to do it!

Do you make your herbal mix tea with loose teas or do you put a bag of each in the mug. Wait, that would be a lot of bags! Anyway, it sounds delicious, and I've never tried lavendar tea before.

I am the biggest fan of fennel.

I had gotten away from drinking much tea in the past few weeks and hadn't been doing so well. Then a few days ago, I started making a pot of tea every morning and making myself drink it and BAM! away went the bloating and pain! I'm enjoying my flat tummy again!

Glad to see it made you feel better again, too, dear!

Yeah, it's alot of tea so I make it in a cafeteia (sp?). It's 1 teabag of chamomile and vanilla, one scoop (1.5T?) fennel and two scoops dried lavender.

I agree, I detest the taste, but I can live through it for the reward.........I've mixed mine with my chamomile and honey.

Fennel is indeed an acquired taste! Mixing/blending makes a huge difference.

I'm glad the tea is doing it's magick, Linz. Fennel is notorious for dispelling/evicting GASES. The lavender with fennel sounds delicious. It's not bad with fruity herbal teas as well as blended with the Rooibos.

Yum. Thanks Linz. I feel like tossing some juniper berries in and maybe some lemongrass or blackberry leaves. That sounds so perfect with the vanilla. Great recipe/blend.

I hate to be dense, but I've read alot about people eating Lavender and using it in tea, but I have no information on it. Where do you buy something like dried Lavender? Does anyone make a Lavender tea in a bag? What is that "cafeteia" you said you use to make your tea in? And do you put your 2 scoops of dried lavender in somekind of tea ball thing or just throw it into the water? Thanks for any answers---I would sure like to try lavender and maybe with your help I can figure it out!

When I ordered my peppermint tea & Stomach Ease tea from Yogi Teas, they sent me a free sample bag of their Chamomile Lavender tea, and it was really good! I've got to reorder some tea from them, and I think I'm gonna order a box of that. Here's a link for you to see it.

I get dried lavender from Provence as my in-laws have a house there, but if you check out this thread you'll see some sources for in the States.

And as for the cafeteair (spelling unknown and confusing! ) this is what I've got.
