Hi everyone, I am a 25 yrs old male. I am very confused about my situation. I am not sure of what i have...whether it is IBS or not. My major problem is gas production. I donīt have any pain, no significant diarrhea or constipation. But, i have to use toilet atleast twice a day and max 3 times. I underwent stool test, blood test, endoscopy, Ultra sound test. But all came negative. It would be a great favour if you can give your suggestions.

By endoscopy, do you mean a sigmoidoscopy, a colonoscopy or a gastroscopy?
With no pain, diarrhoea or constipation, this doesn't fit the IBS guidelines.
Have you been checked for parasites (at least 3 stool sample tests needed) and bacterial overgrowth? Have you tried taking digestive enzymes and probiotics?
2-3 BMs a day is actually pretty healthy btw.

Check and see if the foods you eat and the drinks you drink are major gas producers. Also try Beano. As Linz said except for your gas you sound normal and you might not have IBS at all.
-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
