When I have bad abdominal pain, I can also feel it down my inner thighs. Is this normal?

but I'd be interested to see if anyone else has. have you being positively diagnosed with IBS, or did you just get a diagnosis with no internal testing?

I sometimes get that with Fibro.

Isn't that like sciatica? Could GI stuff trigger that?

Have you talked to your doc about this?

I get pain that radiates from my hip to my knee to the outside bone in my ankle (a bone most people don't even know they have, but my foot is a bit misformed) out to my outside toes.

However, I'm fairly sure that I'd related to a neurological disorder I have, and not the IBS.

If you haven't, I would definitely mention this to your doctor. It could just be your body's way of coping with extreme pain, but I would venture that it's fairly unusual.

yep sometimes...it can radiate to my chest, my little finger, lots of places! its like twinges that come and go...its because the nerves of the gut are connected to many of the body's other organs (in the very early life of a foetus, the organs form as buds off the tube that becomes the gut - so a very interesting connection is formed) - like when the IBS starts to behave, people see weird improvements in other health problems that they never realised were connected. Your Dr will prob say its all unconnected, but I know mine is. I know my body!

Hmm. I had a male friend who described similar leg pain and it turned out to be a hernia.

That is so eerie re: radiating pain. I get that too, as if my torso is a trunk (tree trunk) and the pain just radiates/pulses right down to my pinky fingers or insteps of my feet, often from the centre of my chest, even to my tailbone or inner thigh/crotch. It's like a map of pain and different spots get little alarms or "red alert" signals.
