I am a peanut butter-o-holic!!! How bad is peanut butter in terms of IBS with constipation. If spread thinly onto a plain bagel will this be ok, or should it be avoided completely?

It's mainly the high fat content that's a problem with smooth peanut butter - chunky, the IF can also be a problem. Try and switch to low-fat, or just spread it very thinly on a size sized piece of bread!
Btw, this has been discussed lots before if you want to do a search.

I, personally, have a hard time with Peanut Butter and I love it too. I also have gall bladder problems along with my IBS.So, I have to really watch fats of anykind.I use very small amounts and always with SF. Don't know if this is of any help but just know you are not alone in any of this.

For years, I've bought low fat peanut butter. I find I have fewer problems with smooth PB than chunky.
