I have been doing Heather's diet for a year and a half now, and I have kept a journal, on the advice of my GI Doc. REcently I have had more than normal attacks and I decided to go through my journal and the longest I have ever gone without an attack is a month.....I dont' understand why, I can't go longer. I am a faithful eater, I try to do all the right things, but recently the attacks have become worse and I can't get into my GI guy until August, the most recent attacks last hours with unGodly spasm and cramping, followed by my usual D about 6-8 times over a period of like 5 or 6 hours, but recently I'm having lower pains like in my ovaries and when I eat ANYTHING, immediately my stomach blows up like I'm 9 months pregnant and I feel so full and bloated and nothing takes it away, until I had my IBS attacks. Any ideas, help, suggestions. I'm on Librax, I use mint tea, take my fiber and eat the good fiber and when this happens I eat lighter, pretzels, sour dough bread, soluble fiber. Anyone ever had symptoms like this? And my attacks are always at night. Any help on here or private would be greatly appreciated.

I know what you are going through!! My attacks are always at night and keep me up all night. It is awful! I have pain and D! I am in the bathroom all night (every two hours). I wish I had advice for you, but I am in the same position. Good luck...maybe someone will have advice for us!

I have tried pretty much EVERYTHING to tame my IBS. I'm lucky if I go a week without D. In desperation I am once again embarking upon a wheat free diet. I ate the what to eat when you can't eat anything diet for 2 weeks and STILL had D and cramping which made me wonder if wheat is a problem for me. I eat a LOT of it. No fun at all to be sick all the time. Hope you find something soon.
