I am just so excited about my new tea-related purchase I had to post. I bought an electric tea kettle made for the US outlets. I used those in the UK and they are wonderful! This one is cordless and shuts off automatically. (my teapot came without a whistle and I have almost burned the house down a few times!). I also bought a little ceramic tea pot to brew and steep the tea. Here is where I bought them.

Those look really neat!! How do you know when the water's ready though, if it doesn't whistle?? LOL

It is my old teapot that doesn't whistle. Electric teapots boil water in less than a minute or so and then shut off.
