ok is ranch dressing ok to eat..is buttermilk the same as milk?im confused.i noticed on the ibs recipe thingie it said hidden vally ranch sauce for a sauce.hmm

Buttermilk is definitely a no-no. Sort of a creamy, high fat milk. Delicious, but definitely fatty, definitely dairy, and definitely a trigger.
I don't know of any commercial ranch dressings that are safe. Hidden Valley makes a ranch seasoning packet that you add to sour cream, maybe that is safe? I'm not sure, but that could be what the recipe was referring to. Although, you'd have to check the ingredients. If it does have any dairy, than it cannot be safe. What recipe were you looking at?
