I was diagnosed with IBS last November after a colonoscopy and about 10 years of pain..I have another thread on here..but i was wondering If anyone was from the Rhode Island/ southeastern Massachusetts Area that could recommend a new Gastro Doctor...the one that diagnosed me did so and offered me no help and said there were no medications that would help me...Ive quickly learned this isn't so. I have the books and am following the diet the best i can slowly but surely. i have another thread called Overweight w/ IBS if anyones interested

You can try reading through this thread to see if anyone has recommended a doctor in your neck of the woods. Hopefully, you'll find a doctor here who's a little more up to date on IBS.
