Wow...I never would have thought of that....

Do you cook it first? About how much do you put in there?

(Also, if you leave the post section blank, it helps to put -nt- for "no text" after the subject title.)

This sounds good though! What do you usually put in your smoothies? I love bananas....

You actually do not have to cook the oats that you put in your smoothie. At least, that's what my smoothie bible says and a lot of online smoothie recipes say the same thing. Note though, that I do not eat oats and have never done this with a smoothie. I suppose it would have the effect of flax seeds or nuts or other seeds, so keep that in mind if you care/dare to try it.

Two questions, the first, do you have the receipe for the smoothe? The second, is it me or does anybody else get bloated and get a lot of gas with oatmeal, is that a regular thing?

Any smoothie recipe will do
1C soy or rice milk(i use vanila)
1C banana chopped(or tolerable fruit of choice)
1/2 cup sugar(too taste)
1/2 to 1 tsp vanila
if oatmeal bothers you try a 1/2 cup plain cooked rice
blend and enjoy.
*Make milk cubes to replace milk for a frosty treat
*you may find the smoothie tolerable using acacia in it as your soluble as well

Yes, I get very bloated and have gas after eating oatmeal. In fact I get bad diahrea with it as well. This is most likely due to my gluten intolerance.
