Finally got the colonoscopy

Finally had it, that anesthetic is AWESOME lol..... anyways, everything is fine and i have IBS (so i wouldnt say its fine) but the doc put me on Librax and Oat Bran Tablets, hopefully this will work

When did you have it done? The reason I ask is that I wanted to make sure that they took and analyzed a biopsy before making the call on IBS.

Glad that your colonscopy is done and that you have a firm diagnosis, there are so many worst things that the colonoscopy could have found, be thankful, and here's an official welcome to the gang!

i had it done this morning..... then i went to another place and had a barium enema (i guess) i had to drink Barium, but didnt have to have a BM to get rid of it.... they made me drink 2 cups of barium and then let it go through my intestines, then took a look..... so far, IBS is what i have

Ok, make sure that your Dr took a biopsy as there are some things that need to be ruled out before they can make the call on IBS. I think it takes longer than a day to get the biopsy tested.
Glad to hear everything went well for you. I was worried when I got mine last year, but I didn't need to be. LOL I hear I was quite a character when coming out of the sleep... that and a bit gassy. LOL

im following the diet the best i can.... mainly no beef, milk and other things i would have eaten before i knew they were a trigger.... some stuff doesnt bother me though

i dont know if i was too gassy, i have been today though, its slowed a LOT...... but i do knew i was asleep in less than 20 seconds lol

Glad it's nothing more serious. How are the oat bran tablets working out? I'm thinking of trying them myself.
