Have anyone tried this products and with what results? I saw it being advertised and wondered if it is a great products as I am in need of calcium. I tried Caltrate which helps with the IBS-D but now I have IBS-C. I would like to hear other peoples experience with their calcium supplement.

I use Coral Calcium and it has helped me immensely. I use the powdered kind, not the capsules, so I can adjust my dosage. It can constipate you though, if it does, just adjust it down. I also take a Vit A/D vitamin with it so the calcium is absorbed better. Besides my diet, the calcium is my best friend but I am IBS-D.

Karin, I'm glad to have some input from someone who has taken coral calcium. Another of my friends has been very enthused about it, but she doesn't have IBS.
I have osteoporosis, so I'm intensively working on building my bone density with weight training and calcium supplements plus vit. D. I've been taking calcium citrate (an acidic form of calcium is supposed to be better absorbed by older people--I'm 60) as well as magnesium citrate. The magnesium helps the calcium to be absorbed better, too. Is the coral calcium absorbed really well ? I thought it came in a liquid form, but I really don't know much about it.

The powdered calcium works very well for me, as I said you can adjust your dosage. I do know that magnesium in some forms gives me diarrhea, so I'm staying away from it right now. My aunt is the one who told me to take the powdered coral calcium as I had trouble with the hard calcium tablets. She swears by it and uses it herself as well as her 85+ year old mother, who still lives alone and is very healthy.

Angela,
Do you take a multivitamin with the tums for the vitamin D? I take tums too, because the magnesium gives me d, do you take it with food? I don't find it does anything, neither d or c, but I need the calcium.
