I know Wheat is out of the question and Oat is good to eat as well as corn bread and white. Is Spelt okay to eat?

Pumpernickel is harsh on the system (hence the etymology of the name, LOL! ) but everyone reacts differently to different amounts of fiber. You might be able to tolerate it in small amounts as IF, especially if you're a C.

I love the stuff but pay dearly for it with gas and explosive D. Gotta balence that love with the aftermath!

Wheat is not out of the question. What can be a problem with wheat is when it is in an insoluble form such as whole wheat. Wheat is generally safe to eat in a refined form (white flour) so Heather usually recommends people with IBS eat French bread or white bread purchased from a good quality bakery. Make sure the bread you buy does not contain any milk products.

Pumpernickle and rye bread are made from insoluble fibre, which is harsh on the system, so they are generally not recommended for people with IBS.
