Help. My husband has been diagnosed with IBS. He is missing his butter. I have purchased applebutter. The incregients listed are apples, sugar and spices. Will this be a healthy substitute to use on sourdough bread and rice cakes etc?

I use apple butter all the time, even replacing regular butter in baking recipes........BUT, I use only no added sugar apple butter.

I have used apple butter (from the grocery store) for baking. I substitute about 3/4's of the fat with the apple butter. The results are wonderful, moist, and delicious. HOWEVER, for some reason the apple butter causes me to feel terribly bloated and creates the most awful smelling gas.
