Pages: 1 Not much hope for naltrexone       #170968 - 04/18/05 03:25 PM Edit Reply Quote Alisa Reged: 03/20/05 Posts: 51 Loc: Appleton, Wisconsin Hello to all and to those who posted regarding my recent post about naltrexone, I do not know the specifics as to why the drug doesn't work for IBS pain. The doctor emailed me a one-sentence message that said the results showed no positive affects on the improvement of IBS pain. I was frustrated that I didn't receive more information, but after five years, you'd think I wouldn't expect much anyway. I am very saddened by this news as well. I was hoping so much that this drug would help us, but there always going to be other medications being tested. For now, we just have to keep supporting each other and inform each other of possible treatments as they come along.
