I sent everyone a website that my doctor reccommended, that was written by medical people, and the comment was made after that. So, I doubt it.
My tummy feels better today.

Oh, I'm so sorry you're having a hard time right now. Please don't let your mom get to you. The more stressed you get the worse your tummy will feel. No one, not even family is worth making ourselves sick over. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. My husband doesn't believe me either. He thinks it's all in my head & that I get too stressed. He's always telling me to take a Yoga class, like that will magically make it go away. I know a lot of my IBS is stress related & yes, yoga would probably help but if he keeps making comments about the way I eat....well then I'm just gonna remained stressed!!! He just doesn't get it, much like your mom. I've come to the realization, that some people just won't change & there's nothing I can do about it. Let them think/say what they want. I'm NOT going to let it get to me. You should try (I know it's not easy) to take the same attitude. Whenever she gets to you, just come here & vent. We understand & more importantly, we believe you. I hope you feel better soon. ***hugs to you**** Meryl

some mothers are just not there or understanding.. my grandmother isn't there for my mom because she can't deal with health issues of any kind, never has dealt with them. Mom has Crohns disease.. and when I got sick she kept telling me I had the same thing (hello- different symptoms, and diagnosis) and keeps telling me I am doing the wrong things to take care of myself... whatever. I do what I need to do and have learned to let her BS roll off of me for now.

and I still really feel she thinks this is trivial. She went so far as to say she has heartburn too(no kidding, that's not severe GERD!!!) and IBS,(not diagnosed, how hyppoctritical!)
And Khyri, jeepers, I feel for ya. It's irritating, huh?
I'm gonna work on the BS rolling thing. Good plan.
