Does this stuff work really good when you mix in with oatmeal, etc.? I would like to try it for my constipation but curious if the powder works well, versus capsules or oil. I just would rather take something mix with something else so I don't have to taste it!! I would think probably either the powder or oil would work best. Just another thing to add to my IBS debt?

I bake flax seed into my spelt bread and it keeps me as regular as clockwork.

How many tablespoons per day are you consuming? Should I start slow and increase like fiber?

if that's what you mean by powder. It definitely helps me go. I mix it in my cereal or smoothies, and last night I pureed some carrots and sweet potatoes with it (yum!). I try to take at least 1 TB a day, sometimes closer to two.

flax seed (ground) is high in fat (the good kind though) and is 2/3 insoluble fiber. But some people do just fine with it. For some reason I can't take much of it, and this is coming from a person who uses lots of psyllium. Kandee

Yeah, I noticed on the package it's high in fat and calories for such a small dose, which actually concerns me about getting too full, which I have a problem with everytime I eat already. Thanks for the info, I'm going to try to get on a fiber regimen...
