Gatorade?

Is Gatorade safe? It's almost riding season and gatorade is a staple for the next several months.

I think the only problem I ever saw was HFCS in it. If you are okayu with that then there shouldn't be a problem.

in moderation. I drink 1 bottle on work or gardening days. Do not chug cold gatorade since it might cause cramping (like any cold beverage.)
What kind of riding do you do?

I mountain bike - it's a fairly new hobby of mine. My boyfriend is very into it. This will be my second year and I can't wait to get back out there. We have all sorts of trails through the woods near where we live. It's so nice to be out there!!

We used to do it too, but hub gave up and sold his bike and we bought living room furniture with the money! And the poison ivy around here became a problem for me. I still ride my MTB though- yet it feels funny riding it only on roads- in mtb clothes too.

I was going to make a topic on this, but instead did a search first. I was going to buy gatorade the other day, but I read the ingredients and saw high fructose corn syrup listed high, and I thought this meant I could nto have gatorade.
How can you have gatorade since it has this ingredient?
If you can have gatorade, then why not have caffeiene free lemonade or apple juice.

I have never seen high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient in any Gatorade I've ever bought.
If what you're looking at contains HFCS, avoid it, definitely.

in small quanitities would be okay wouldn't it? Glad to see you did a search Volatile! They can turn up all sorts of interesting info. The gatorade here doesn't have HFCS. Are you sure it didn't just say corn syrup? This is different to high fructose corn syrup and is okay as long as you're not allergic to corn.

I just checked the label on my gatorade - HFCS is not an ingredient.
