has anyone else on this board used zelnorm?if so did it help you in anyway?if you had gas did it make your gas wrose?when i frist take it for the frist couple of hours it makes me feel relley crappy,and my head feels foggy,headache,body aches,and my gas gets wrose.but it seems to be helping alot with the bloating,and Constaption.and giving me an appetite and stuff.what other side effects did you have?

If you go up to the search button next to message boards and type in zelnorm it will bring up different posts on it.

I am currently taking it and I love it. The first day I took it I had gas and really weird feeling in my stomach but after that it went away. I can pretty much eat almost anything I want just have to watch it, and I have a BM everyday sometimes two or three times a day. Give it a little while and see if those symptoms go away if not then I would talk to your doctor.
I hope it does work for you.

i love how it helps with the bloating and it gives me an appetite so i feel like i can eat again!i feel like i have my life back.but sometimes i get these relley werid feelings in my stomach and i feel relly werid and i also feel like its trapping my gas in and i cant relley let it out its scary..i hope this will go away soon.i hate feeling foggy headed and werid like this.

Is that weird foggy headed feeling a normal side effect? I don't remember if that was one of them or not. I know I never got that feeling- I really didn't have any side effects except diarrhea the first day or two. Are you taking any other meds that could be causing the foggy head feeling?

well im taking an anti acid pill (prolsec otc)and a multi vitamn..thats it!!i know sometimes i get a feeling of warmth and my face gets red.thats a normal side effect so is the gas..im relley sensitive to medicane.man i hate this gas..errrrrrr

You know I do sometimes get gas really bad and I take Beano and it seems to help. The foggyheadness I really don't get that. I haven't gotten the gas thing to much thank goodness. I do hope that goes away for you. But yes it is nice to have an appetite back. It also nice not the have that feeling of consitapation all the time also.

oh i know!its the wrost feeling!!ive been C for 3 years probaly longer its gotten alot wrose over 7 months or so..thank god for zelnorm!!!how long did it take for the full effect to kick in?

I think it took like a week or two to take effect. I think I have been on it for over two months now. I am not sure how much longer my nurse practitioner is going to keep me on it. As far as I am concerened I would love to stay on it all the time. I am afraid of going off of it and then the symptoms coming back. I have been dealing with IBS since 2002 and it was just within this last year that I have finally gotten it under control.
