WILL SUCRALOSE (SPLENDA) CAUSE DIARRHEA AS OTHER SUGAR SUBSTITUTES?

It won't necessarily cause diarrhea - it depends what your full range of symptoms are - but ALL artificial sweeteners, as well as the "sugar alcohols" (maltitol, etc) are gastrointestinal irritants and IBS triggers. Avoid them!

I've never had any problems with sucralose/splenda, but the others especially sugar alcohols can give me problems.

I have healthy friends who get D from too much splenda.... so be careful.. I know I get it from small amounts the only save subsistute for sugar is stevia- its not artificially made!

I agree with Casey. All artificial sweeteners are EVIL. Avoid them at all cost.
