Peppermint - best for cramps and pain (but should be avoided if you have GERDs/heartburn).

Fennel - best for bloating and gas.

Ginger - best for nausea (but should be avoided if you have GERDs/heartburn).

Chamomile - a good all-rounder (also good for stress/anxiety) and the best substitute for peppermint if you have GERDs.

These 4 are the main IBS aids, although there are others that we can drink that have less medicinal properties.
