Well right after I got off of here yesterday my dietitian (family friend) called to check up on how I was doing with the IBS. I explained everything to him and he gave me some good tips and I'm also now taking 1 heaping TB of Psyllium husk fiber (same thing as Metamucil, just Target brand) and I drank it last night before bed....and I'm going today! I'm so freakin' excited! LOL I'm still extremely bloated and not empited out, but I can tell at least it's working! I never thought I'd get this excited about BMs

Hi Beth! To be honest, I did not notice much improvement with them and I have not noticed much change without them. I don't know if that has to with the brand or what, they were Rainbow Light.

For my SFS I take Metamucil twice a day. I also just started Fiber Choice...wish me luck!
Aside from that, I only take the store brand Colace everyday. I hope the Fiber Choice helps, if not then perhaps I will start up the magnesium again. *reading the thread for ideas*
What's the difference between the types of magnesium?

because the Phillip's Laxative Dietary Supplement that I take only lists the 500mg of Magnesium as "magnesium." Some people take magnesium malate, but that's just a blend of magnesium and malate and I'm not sure what the malate does. It still doesn't tell me what kind of magnesium is in the magnesium malate. :/

...is a source of magnesium and malic acid (which people with Fibromyalgia often also need a supplement of).
The different forms are just the different forms of molecules containing magnesium.

My gyn told me there was interference and was trying to get me to use something else, but I think I'd rather give up the enzymes. How did you find out the two didn't jive? Thanks.
