The doctor prescribed zel-norm for my IBS, and I was trying to avoid taking it because I was worried about side effects. But yesterday I started it - because even though I can see where the diet is helping me greatly, I was still having attacks at times and still not going to the bathroom AT ALL (it is for IBS-C). So anyhow I'm dealing with the headaches from it, but going to finish one round just to try and regulate the system and by the time it is done I'm hoping the diet has taken over and it will not be needed anymore. My question is, has anyone else taken this and how did it do for you? Thanks!

I was having some problems in December that diet and exercise were not taking care of. I starting taking Zelnorm then and it has worked wonders. I could actually function like a normal human again. The first day was a little rough, but after my body adjusted it was great. I could actually allow myself to "cheat" a little. You have to know your body to know whether you can cheat, but it has helped me more than any other medicine. I still follow a strict diet though.
