hi everyone. i was wondering how everyones bones are doing since we cant drink dairy products. are you haveing problem bone noise once in while? dr put caltrate plus for that for me. anyone takeing something for there bones? jasper

I use fortified soy milk and take a multivitamin/mineral so I know I'm not missing out with not having dairy.

hey jasper - its been proven (if you want the info I can forward it to you) that dairy products are now suspected in increasing the risk of bone density loss, not fixing it...so don't worry. take your calcium in the form of fish, tofu and dark green vegies....

I've been taking actonel for about 4 months now. I am also taking about 1500 mg of calcium a day. I had a bone scan and it showed that my bones are on the verge of flaking. That scared me to death, so now, I take the actonel, calcium and also try to getin a few days of sun absorption every week. They say after following this, in about 18months, I amy be able to get of the actonel. The regression in my bones will be healed. Isn't that wonderful?
I am so excited to be living in these times of great medicine!
