I read in one of your posts that it took you 6 months to stabilize. Did you see positive results before then, and it just took you that long to completely stabilize? Also, do you take probiotics? Thank you for your help!

6 months was to completely stabilze. I saw positive improvement after just a few days but I had severe IBS at that point so it took a good while to get stable. I DIDN'T take probiotics but do now, mainly cos of other health problems on top of the IBS.

Do you just take SFS and follow the diet to keep yourself stable? Thank you for responding!

I take SFS, follow the diet and really only have nay problems if I cheat.

My IBS-D is pretty bad...I am in the bathroom anywhere from 10-15 times a day. I had heard that yours was this bad, if not worse, that is why I was asking you...I guess looking for some positive encouragement that this CAN be controlled!

I was averaging about 15 D episodes a day! And now have about 1 a month tops from CHEATING!

Daily Immodium is very helpful in stabilizing with D as you need to get your body to reset. Also be very very cautious with IF until you are stable.

Just got officially discharged from my GI as I'm doing so well now! And I hadn't seen him before that apt for 18 months!

But now I know it's my fault and what to do to correct it...it's just when I repeat the "mistake"
