(I posted this on the Crohn's and Colitis message board as well)
So, now instead of mucus everyone once and a while, it's there EVERY time I use the bathroom. Yesterday, there was so much blood on the toilet paper, I thought I had gotten my period early (gross I know). Now, mixed with the mucus along with blood, there is brown stuff (which I'm pretty is not from a bm, because it's there even when I don't have one).
I still haven't been to see my doctor - I'm really not sure what to do. I have the tendency to be a bit of an over-reactor.
what is going on with my body ??
Thanks,
SP

Go to your doctor if you're worried. That's not normal, and if your doctor says it is, they're a twat! The brown stuff could be bile, which I think is not particularly good. I don't want to alarm you, but it's better to waste the doctor's time than to get seriously ill because you're too scared to go. Your health and peace of mind are worth more than their time.

The brown stuff could also be dried/mixed-up blood, which is another sign of IBDs.

I just think that you have issues that need to be examined by your Dr., he can help you understand the mucous and the other stuff going on also. Its better to be safe than sorry. Hey, I suffer with mucous alot myself, hate the stuff, it is very annoying. I hope the Dr. can help you!

Yes, please go to a doctor. You can't pretend that this is not happening. I know it's very scary but you need to take care of yourself. Please.
