Anyone noticed an increase in IBS symptoms? I've been very nauseous the last couple of weeks and the only thing I can think of to attribute it to is going off the pill. Maybe it's just a coincidence. I've been so stable for so long, it's very odd for me to be feeling this way. Just wondered if there's a correlation. I'm popping peppermint caps like candy and I'm going to have to dust off my ginger tea box. Input would be greatly appreciated.

I went off the pill in Oct '03 after being on it for about 7 years. How long have you been off the pill? At first, I did have some nausea. Ginger tea with fennel helped. Are you experiencing any other IBS symptoms?
I had been pretty stable while on the pill. Unfortunately, after about two months of not being on the pill, my IBS symptoms increased a lot (cramping and D attacks), especially the week before and during my period. I decided to go back on the pill in Sept '04 and have been doing better.

I just went off the Pill. Hmmm...now that you mention it I think I've been more C. But perhaps I'm just being too lax about taking my Metamucil, I've been skipping doses a lot lately. Not sure!

Thanks for the input you two! I've been taking the pill for 18 months (after my daughter was born). I wondered. Mostly it's just nausea, but I've had more gas and cramping too.
