Hi everyone,
I posted this the other day but know one replied ... maybe it was missed. I'd really appreciate some insight as to what is going on with my body.
Anyhow, last week I posted complaining about not having an appetite, and having mucus (without a bm). Well, I noticed on Friday and Saturday that there was blood in the mucus. Is this something I should see my doctor about ? or is it not as alarming as I think it is?

I don't know what's going on with your body (I don't even know what's going on with mine most of the time!), but loss of appetite and blood isn't a common symptom of IBS. If you've been having these problems for more than a couple of days, I'd say it's time to get it checked out.
I hope you get some answers and feel better soon!

You should get checked out by your doc asap... but as a general rule, if it's bright red and mainly on the toilet tissue, then it's likely to be hemms...and if it's dark and in with the BMs it's likely to indicate something like IBDs.
I guess if you're just getting mucous, you could be straining quite a bit which would lead to hemms...horrible things.

Just because it's not hemms doesn't mean it's serious but it does mean it's needs checking.
