In Heather's book she mentions humidity being a factor. I know that when I get too hot I can get nauseous (but that may be just me). I'm curious to see what others will have to say as wel...good question! *hugs*

I've lived in both cold and hot climates, more recently the latter. The only effect that I've noticed is that if it cold enough that I am shivering it affects my stomach. Since my abs are tense it makes me really uncomfortable. Warmth really helps me relax and feel more comfortable. But this can happen in a cold room (ac), etc.

I would say it does - when I get hot, it brings the feelings of a panic attack on, which obviously effects my IBS. The cold does too - its been freezing in the UK since November and I would say that if I get really cold, it definitely affects it, especially as I'm so thin at the moment! Brr...can't wait for the summer!

Too cold means an attack is more likely for me...and shivering can be very painful on the tum. But very hot and humid is a definite dodgy tum for me!

I live in Massachusetts...I have been feeling great for about 6 or 7 months. A few weeks ago we started with a lot of snow and cold (the winter was mild prior). Over the weekend I had stomach spams and not sure why I got them. Wondering if the weather had anything to do with it. Anne

I feel really ill and like an attack is coming on when I get too hot. I can't stand being cold but as of yet I haven't noticed that it affected my stomach/IBS.

Heat and humidity make me feel pretty ill in general. I live in Texas, and last summer was considered on the "mild side". I am dreading a "normal" summer. I have never been able to tolerate heat...feel sick and nauseaus too.

hot weather (especially humid weather) is a stressor. as is really, really cold weather. any kind of stressor can create the IBS symptoms.
i'd rather be cold, though. i get REALLY sick when it's hot/humid. too bad i live in the mid-atlantic.

I live in the Middle East so you can't get much hotter! A few weeks ago I had a meal that I know to be safe but was sitting outside on a particularly hot day with no shade and had a really bad attack! Don't find it happens with the cold at all. Hmm maybe I should get a job in the North pole!!!!!!!!!!!11
