I'm not sure...this may have been done and I just don't remember? If it has...please point me to the nearest duntz sign! If not...great! Cause I'm really curious:
What your BIGGEST IBS trigger is?!?!
Is it fat, caffeine, insolble fiber, meat, dairy, high fructose corn syrups, etc?
Mine seems to be insoluble fiber. Although meat and fats run a close second. Cafeeine actually seems to be ok for me most of the time. HFCS is awful and I just hate the stuff in general. Dairy doesn't effect my tummy as bad as it does my migraines...
Can't wait to hear from you!

Mine is caffeine and high frutose corn syrup. these will give me severe D. Needless to say, I stay away from these two items.

my truly biggest trigger is red meat (even some broth getting into something...) but since I am so viligant on that one... my biggest oops I've made by accident and set something off by is HFCS.. Dairy is actually not just a trigger for me- I'm officially allergic to it now, so I'm not counting that because I honestly don't know what it does to my IBS since it gives me hives and they warned me next time could send me into anaphalaxic shock!

-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

High fructose corn syrup, high fat content, intense stress, caffeine, and chocolate. All of these are very bad for me.

DAIRY, anything with too much fat, raw veggies (so I guess IF, but whole wheat bread for example is not nearly as bad), and stress.
