Most foods that are triggers for me (whole wheat, alcohol, dairy) act like sandpaper - I have to eat them over a period of a few days for them to affect me. The two that are pretty much instantaneous are coffee and Chili's Southwestern Egg Rolls. I was never a big coffee drinker so I don't miss that, but boy do I miss the Egg Rolls. Sigh.

Ice cream, milk, sour cream, cream cheese. My second is Garlic and onions. Anything made with it or in it!

They were one of the first 3 triggers I noticed whan I was 12! The 3 A's: Avacados, Apples and Asperagus!!!
I won't touch them with a 10 foot pole now!!

their high fat content. They are an excellent source of soluble fiber, but are high in fat. Thus should be eaten carefully.

...that gives my DH a sore throat! So I guess if you're sensitive to whatever that is and you have IBS, it could cause an unhappy tummy. Personally, I love them.

Fat is definitely my worst trigger. I even have to decrease the oil in a lot of safe recipes so they don't bother me. That's why fast food and fried things don't even REMOTELY tempt me anymore... I will literally be sick as a dog within 5-10 minutes of that stuff passing my lips.
Actually, I just had this come up, too... I was eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every day for lunch, with literally just a teaspoon of peanut butter. I started having D every day, and wouldn't you know it, it turned out to be the peanut butter! I have to be REALLY careful about even "good" fatty things, like salmon and avocado. Bummer!
