More Sensitive to Motion Sickness after IBS??

I just remembered that I'd wanted to ask this awhile ago.
I've never really had a problem with riding rides and being sensitive in the car, but since my IBS started I've realized I have to be really careful with things like that or they make me feel so sick to my stomach. For instance, I went to Universal Studios with my family last summer and we went on this ride where you're in this big car thing and essentially the car moves a little but you're watching a 3-d movie that makes you feel like you're going all over crazy..well after we were done I felt so sick I spent the rest of the day in the hotel room. I have to be careful in cars and boats to keep my eyes to the front.
So I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has realized that they're more sensitive to things like that since their IBS or am I just weird?
Also just as a side note, I've realized that smells will get me too. A girl in one of my classes always brings in this nut trail mix sort of thing and the smell of all the nuts makes my stomach gurgle and I have to get as far away from her as possible. It's crazy....or am I??

You're not crazy! Or, at least, if you are, I am too.  I haven't noticed any difference in my motion sickness, but then again, I've ALWAYS had crazy motion sickness anyway. I have noticed a definite difference in my sensitivity to smell, and sometimes even *looking* at stuff that Adam eats (like a big greasy plate of fried eggs and kielbasa, his current breakfast of choice) makes my guts twitch.

Though I wasn't sure whether it was the IBS or the Fibro. I get more motion sickness and more nausea from smells too! I have to take travel sickness pills to go sailing for the first time in years!

That MIGRAINES and motion sickness go hand in hand   And MIGRAINES and fibro go hand in hand. And fibro and IBS go hand in hand....(I was shocked! I've had motions sickness since I was born...never did outgrow it!)
hmmmmm....
maybe they're all really the same things?!?!?!?
I've often wondered if all these symptoms are all just one big bodily connective thing! Who knows???.....Man, I shoulda gone into research. If only I hadn't failed in math and chem..........
Anyone in medicine here wanna do the research for us?!?!?!

I have had the same problem too w/ motion sickness. I notice the problem most when trying to play computer games, even the slowest games make me sick; sometimes for several days. And for someone who earns a living on the computer, I now have to avoid nearly all computer games.

Yeah. I used to be the strong stomach in the family. I never got motion sickness as a kid..... but my sister was chronic for it. She gets migraines also though. Now I can hardly stand to be in a car unless I'm driving. I'm usually better if my Dad's driving (and I was okay on a recent trip in a nice car with a good driver), but I'm awful if my partner is driving. Which is unfortunate because his fragile man ego doesn't like the woman driving.

I've always suffered from motion sickness. As a kid it was bad to the point of throwing up then it went away for a while as a teen then after I fell pregnant the first time it came back something awful! That's how I knew I was pregnant with the girls. The car sickness got really bad! None of it was really IBS connected though, (unless I had IBS from birth but I can only remember back to about 5 and I had it then)
