Heh, thanks! I keeps me sane, though I don't have as much time as I used to for that kind of thing.

I just have a quick question about your list: you mentioned that you buy the Baked Doritos, but what about the cheese? Or do you mean regular Doritos, not cheese flavored?

I'm hoping the stores up here will start carrying the baked chips...all they carry are the Baked Lay's (regular), but not the baked Ruffles or Baked Tostitos. I tried those when I on vacation earlier this month, and they are de-lish! Much better than the Guiltless Gourmet...

Anyway, just curious...they also have baked Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream. Every try those?

Now they have a new kind that comes in packets that you open, and microwave for 90 secs. That's it!

(I mention this for people who find boiling water as potentially hazardous as I do, lol....I'm not that bad of a cook, just not strong enough to care a very big pot of water over to the sink where the strainer is--I learned that with a pot of boiling water....)

At any rate, comes in all kinds of yummy flavors (I think they are all safe except the "Buttery" one, but check, as my store may not have them all).

Nice and Easy, especially when away from home.

Oatmeal (I get the big cannister so I only need to buy it about once a month)
Low fat granola (I put a handful in my oatmeal
4-packs of individual servings of light canned pears
4-packs of individual servings of canned peaches
Rice crispies (Shurfine brand doesn't have HFCS)It's a store brand in the US)
Chicken Breasts
Fresh ground turkey (NOT the stuff in the tubes)
Lean pork chops (Yes, I know, but I tolerate it very very well)
Fish (salmon, tilapia, catfish)
Low fat soda crackers
Soy milk (8th Continent regular or lite)
Chocolate soy milk (for a treat)
soy cheese slices (Galaxy brand)
White bread
Baby carrots
Mushrooms (I throw them in froze dinners or canned soup to sneak in a safe veggie)
Fresh tomatoes
Rice crackers
Frozen green beans
Smart Ones Turkey & Green Beans frozen dinners (the Lean Cuisines of this dinner are fine, too)
Deli turkey (I guess this isn't tolerable for everyone)
Rice
100 Calorie Packs of Honey Grahams
Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup
Progrosso Chicken Barley Soup
Edy's or Hagen-Daz Sorbets
Potato flakes
Low fat Biscuick

For the last 2 items, I of course mix with soy milk instead of cow's milk. You cannot taste the difference.

What brand rice cakes do you buy? There's a lot of folks looking for a safer brand that isn't really hard to digest.

Also, don't rice krispy squares have dairy in them? They do in the states.

And is your rice brown or white or both? Just curious as to how many can do brown! I know, where all different...but I hate that!

I was buying Quaker rice cakes, but that was before they started making them with brown rice (or, at least, before I noticed, lol). They never really gave me a problem but I don't really buy them any more just to be safe. I'll have one on occassion without problems, but I more often eat rice crackers instead now.

Re: rice crispy squares. I don't think I've ever heard of them having dairy in them! The problem with the Kelloggs brand is, as far as I know, that they have HFCS in them. The brand I was buying was a store brand (Our Compliments) that was HFCS-free.

Also to chime in on deli meats, those can be deceptively high fat - even things like chicken and turkey breast. I don't know how or why they do it. But if you don't have a label to confirm that it's ok (i.e. if you get it from a deli counter) I'd be careful.
