I want to introduce myself and say thank you, thank you, thank you. My GP finally decided last November that I "might" have IBS, after 5 yrs of insisting that it was not possible (had to be nerves, stress, or gallbladder). My gallbladder was taken out in Dec. '03, but my IBS symptoms never changed. I saw a GI in December and she immediately diagnosed IBS and gave me a prescription for Nulev and free samples of Citrucel (boy, did they help) and scheduled a colonoscopy for Jan. 4. On Jan. 5 I ordered the "First Year" book & "Eating for IBS". Thanks again for the "what to eat when you can't eat anything" and "soluble fiber" list. Quality of life has improved so much compared to what it was. I'm looking forward to sharing recipes and getting to know all of you.
