Dandelion

In Prevention this month, they have a pullout with "14 Tummy-Soothing Herbs". One they list for constipation is dandelion. Anyone heard of it or tried it? Good/bad?
Not that I have C, but just wondering for the IBS-C's out there.

I saw the article too. I haven't tried dandelion, but steer clear if you're alergic to dandelion.

Oh absolutely! I was curious if it worked well though, like didn't cause cramping or something.
For me as a D, I thought the cinnamon sounded good. I didn't know it worked for D.

Dandelion is a good diuretic and liver tonic. I think it helps flush out bad stuff. I have never used it for C alone...but I guess if you aren't allergic, then it is ok.

I drink Dandelion Root coffee as a decaf substitute and I find it settles things - not as well as ginger, peppermint or fennel, but it makes a nice change.
