I am usually a IBS-D but lately have been sometimes IBS-A. There are days when I feel like I have to go all day (like today and I was at work), when I go, only a tiny bit will come out (little round poops) and that will be it. A few minutes later, I'll feel I have to go again. If I could just pass gas I'd be OK but obviously in a closed space office I cannot so I try and go again. Little bits again. This went on all day long. This usually follows a few days when I'm not going much. Anyone have this happen? Is it a symptom of IBSA or C?

Thanks everyone. I guess we've heard it all here!
Sandy

I am IBSA and I get that too. My doctor said that "marbles" are C as you are straining to get them out, so that is the C part of my IBS-A.

Just my experience, someone else may have an opposing one.

you go back to somewhat normal or you sometimes get D? just curious. I know everyone is different. For me, if I have a few days of not going much, eventually I'll have a day when I am going alot and not just marbles! Not even D but lots of loads! (sorry!)

Eventually it sorts itself out, not so much with D as with what I call "urgency", can be quite soft and voluminous. I hadn't even noticed that before as it doesn't bother me as much as the marbles, I find them really frustrating

When your poops are small like that (rabbit pellets) it means that your bowel is spasming and it's causing the feces to get broken into small pieces. That's what my GI told me....and yes it's a symptom of C.

Hi,

I'm an A and I get this all the time. I'll have the pellit's for a day or two, followed by a day or more D like, although I almost never get full D, I think because I am hypothyroid so my system runs very slow, but I get the horrible cramps and urgency like when you have full blown D.

It can be very frustrating, I can't remember the last time I had a "normal" bm, that wasn't too hard or too soft. Maybe one day. I just thank god that I don't have the cronic D or C that some people have here, I could myself as lucky compared to how some people suffer.

Take care,
Debra

Except that usually I only have that happen once or twice during the day. I don't keep going all day.

I get this often, although I don't usually feel C and I go like 2-3 times/day...I think I'm IBS-A but not sure.
