May be a silly question but is the bentyl suppose to help BM or just stop colon spasms?

both. it's an antispasmodic but controlling the spasms actually helps the BM

I would also recommend Bentyl. I don't use it very often anymore, probably only once a month or less, but I definitely notice it helping. I take it when I get the familiar rumblings that can lead to an attack, and it often stops things in their tracks. As a matter of fact, I haven't had an attack in well over a year, knock on wood! I do attribute that much more to the diet... but I know the Bentyl does help in a pinch!

That nulev crap is awful for me. If I take it, my problems worsen. Nothing has helped me so far other than taking uber amounts of Miralax.
