My diet is so restricted that I can't eat while out shopping or anything else with my family. I always take along an ice pack type thingy in a clear plastic zip lock bag, along with a toasted baked chicken sandwich and a couple cheese sandwiches, just in case (I have hypoglycemia too, so this is very difficult). I am so sick of doing this, I am really tired of it all. I am also very hungry for something other than chicken and potatoes. Anyway, I was wondering what everyone else does for this eating problem while they're out and about? Do you just throw caution to the wind (I hope not!) and eat out anyway? And if you do, what do you eat? I feel like an alien. I get so tired of not being able to eat out with my family, and with the hypoglycemia it just makes it that much more difficult. I have to eat almost constantly to keep my blood sugar up. AAAaaarrrrggggghhhhh!..... Anyway, just wondering and hoping that someone will have a good idea I can latch onto:)........Thanks Meg

Search out Quizno's or Subway. They both now carry low fat sandwiches that are actually good. The Quizno's Sierra Smoked Turkey is excellent. I had to stop in to get one yesterday as I was at a festival that offered foods like burritos, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc....! Almost fainted from no food by the time I finally gave in and found a Quizno's. I had brought a baggie of my crackers, but went through those quicky.
