I tried a lot of SFS. A lot of them gave me gas. Fibercon does not give me ANY gas. You need to work up to at least 9 tablets a day for it to work but it is so nice not to have any gas or bloating. Maybe its just me. That's my 2 cents.

That's great! I've had LOTS of gas lately, but I don't know what's causing it. It's been aweful. I've been using acacia twice a day & psyllium fiber once a day. The gas seems to start any time, no matter what I eat. The psyllium never used to give me gas when I tried it in the past.

Hopefully I get rid of this problem soon!

acacia and benefiber both gave me gas the first day I adjusted amounts and that was it... so now when I want to take extra I take gas-x with it!

I have been having a terrible time with gas today. I upped my acacia to 2 1/4 teaspoons today, 1/8 in the morning and 1/8 in the evening. I was taking 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. It is driving me crazy and my family. Every time I try to up the dose I end up with this awful gas.

I'm IBS-A,but mostly C and pain. I think I'm going to give up my SFS totally because of gas and bloating, but I'm scared the C will really really be bad! I think the only one left to try is acacia but I know even that has caused gas and bloating for many. This is a tough one

Is there a way not to be C without being on an SFS? I guess I could try colace every night or magnesium or even ground flax seed. But those scare me too.

Does taking SFS with or before a meal help reduce the gas?

I've been on Benefibre for 4 days now and have noticed the gas thing too. Extreemly embarrassing! I'm hoping once my body gets used to it a bit the gas will calm down
