Do you mean that you have the urge to go, but nothing will come out? I get that. I also get intestinal cramping but can't have a bm. It's kind of like sometimes I have to wait until the urge returns with more force before I'll be able to get anything to move.

I don't have an answer to that problem. It's terribly uncomfortable. Haven't been able to solve that one without meds (used to take Miralax... now trying Zelnorm)

It's quite common with IBS. Taking a SFS long-term will help - ie. don't expect it to work after only a week or so!

I had the test done for this (you eat the eggs with the dye and they take pictures). I too showed delayed emptying. Doc put me on reglan, but that gave bad side effects. Now, I am just going to try the diet and the SFS. Reglan is bad!

Right on Augie about the Reglan - nasty stuff.

I was on it last Feb. in the hospital for anti-nausea and some time later I developed this weird spasmy thing with my mouth/jaw. I figured it was just some nervous habit caused by stress and pain. Come to find out it's called dyskinesia and there's a big class-action lawsuit going because it's caused by Reglan. It often goes away. I hope that's the case with me; it's really the pits.
