I am getting so tired of bagels, english muffins and toast. Other than cereal and oatmeal, what the heck is there left to eat?

(no meat or egg suggestions though please).

Thanks!

Hiya,
I have a tricky time with breakfast too 'cause I don't like a lot of 'breakfast-y' foods. I usually tend to stick to toast and stuff, but I do like some breakfast bars and soy yogurts are good. I like canned fruit as well in the mornings.
Good luck, I'll be watching this post too for ideas!

You could try this... French Toast Casserole although it does have eggs in it.

Here's another one to try... Casey's Orange Juice Pancakes

And another... Restaurant Style Buttermilk Pancakes to make the buttermilk, just whisk some cider vinegar in your rice/soy milk

If none of these work, visit the recipe exchange index, you're bound to find something there.

I've just been changing my oatmeal every morning... some mornings I even put dried cranberries in it. Dried fruit is a really good way for me to get my insolubles.

a few more if your not on the weightloss side of things... banana bread (or chocolate banana bread) and even peppermint fudge cake work for breakfast if your ok with that.. I've also been known to just have applesauce for breakfast with my SFS stirred in!

good luck! I don't love breakfast foods either.. I sometimes even do pasta or other leftovers for breakfast.. and rissoto works well too..

Hi Rachel,

Wow, some great suggestions. Casey's pancakes are looking like a pretty good Sunday morning breakfast right now. Pretty easy too. Yum.

I like the idea about adding fruit to oatmeal too.

Thanks!

No, I definitely don't need to lose weight. I like the banana bread idea. The problem is that I've tried to make it a few times and it always turns out yucky.

Maybe I'll look at the recipe section and find a new recipe to try.

Thanks!

Ok, thanks. There have already been some good suggestions.

My ideal breakfast would be: a fresh chocolate & strawberry crepe topped with whipped cream, a croissant and a mocha coffee. Not gonna happen... That's what I woke up thinking this morning. Just thinking about it made me full though.

I'll write out my recipe later.. I don't use heathers, but the same one I always did, just sub applesauce and a small amount of oil for the shortening in it! I have also been known to sub cocoa for some of the flour to make it chocolate..
