For all you cooks out there…

Just got a catalogue called The Baker's Catalogue from Norwich, Vermont (www.bakerscatalogue.com or www.bakingcircle.com)

They have things like flavorings for breads, i.e. French Herb, Herb & Garlic, Savory Tomato, Apple & Spice, etc.

They say their Lecithin (soybean-based) can replace the fats in breads.

They have potato flour, dried acid whey (dried buttermilk without milk solids).

They have organic oat flour, cornmeal and polenta, chocolate extract, flower waters (orange and rose) which are great used with fruits/purees/sauces.
They have nut flours (chestnut, almond, hazelnut)
They have flavored powders; i.e. tomato, spinach.
They have gluten-free mixes (chocolate cake, sandwich bread, cake and cookie, truffle brownie)
Crystallized ginger, all kinds of cocoa (Bensdorp Dutch process, European, double-dutch, black cocoa, natural cocoa)
They have scone mixes, stuff to make "baked" donuts, quick and easy beer breads, muffin and quick bread mixes, all kinds of gadgets for baking/kitchen work, tortilla makers, fresh herb keepers, etc.

FOR HANSOLO, THEY HAVE CARAMEL JUST WAITING TO BE MELTED TO PUT OVER HEATHER'S CHOCOLATE MINT CAKE...

Let us know what you find there.
Good Luck!

Sharon
