It's the same thing, dyphenhydramine, only without the acetaminophen (paracetamol). If I wake up at night, I'll take another. Sometimes it's a little hard to wake up, but I manage. I avoid Tylenol PM, tho (it's the active ingredient, dyphenhydramine HCL, PLUS acetaminophen). I take a lot of acetaminophen already with the T/3s I take, so I get liver tests 2ce a year to make sure I'm not doing long-term damage. I did nothing for me. I still couldn't sleep. I heard melatonin or valerian root work well. Tylenol, I belive it can build up over time in your liver (I am pretty sure it's the liver or maybe the stomach) but the herbs sound a lot safer with less or no long tearm side effects. -------------------- Ibs-d and fructose sensitive. It doesn't have the pain reliever in it. It did help me sleep. It has the sleep ingredient (same as benadryl) but not the tylenol. It's not good to take tylenol every day, especially if you don't have pain. I have been using Simply Sleep for several years and I only have to take 1 tablet instead of 2. I haven't had any problems and my doc said it was OK long term.
