I don't see why baked fries would be a problem, as long as they're salt and grease free.

I did a Search on the IBS Recipe Exchange for "French Fries" - and found several great recipes.

Check the fat content on the frozen fries. They usually are still pretty high. You might be better off making your own. They are so easy and personally I like them better. That is what I will be making in a few minutes to go with our dinner.

The frozen kinds vary so much in how much fat they have. I can do a small amount of some that are low in fat -- but when I saw some that were cheaper - I flipped over and compared the label and saw that it had twice as much fat per serving. So -- check your labels and be careful. It matters what else you are eating it with too. If the rest of your meal is very low fat -- then you are more safe. If the rest of your meal also has a borderline high fat item - then you should skip the fries.

making my own over the storebought- the fat is much lower- less risk of issues and they taste yummy.. I cna spice them how I want and they really don't take longer to cook.. just slice the potato, spray the pan and the potato and bake...

There used to be a post on these, but I can't seem to find it. Casey posted it a while back...

cut 2 potatoes into wedges and place on a cookie sheet
spray with cooking spray and sprinkle with salt
bake at 400 for about an hour, turning once half way through.

These are very easy to do and taste great... much better than the store bought ones.

McCain's has a low-fat french fry (the frozen kind). I find it to be quite tolerable and my 3 year old still loves them as french fries.
