I've been trying to figure out all afternoon why I was cramping- not that time of the month, and I had been ungodly careful about what i ate.. evne bypassing the donuts the office gave out for customer service appreciation week... but I did drink a half glass of the cider...

then I was reading through my new (recieved today) copy of help for ibs and it mentions certain juices as potential triggers- AHA!

now if I had only known that I'd have probably skipped the cider...

Yep... seems like the dumbest things can be triggers, huh? Apple is the only juice that's a trigger for me, and it is a *killer*.

Hope you feel better!

I used to drink caramel apple cider and what a tigger it was for me. It was really bad. I don't know if apple cider bother's me, it might have been the combination of the two.

Yep, that one will cause a lot of pain for a while. There are very few juices we can tolerate.

Hang in there, this too shall pass.

Wow, I had no idea cider would do it! I hate that you had to go thru it to find out but I am sure I am not alone when I say thank you in warining the rest of us who might not have known.

I can't do any juice *that* thick. I'm IBS-D and cider is a big trigger for me. All that pulp in it, ugh. I might as well be drinking water and sawdust!

Tastes good, tho. (Curses!)

I stay AWAY from apples and Their Evil Spawn (applesauce, apple juice, candied apples, cider, baked apples, dried apples). I've tried them every which way from Sunday, but they're just too big of a trigger for me. Sadly.

I don't know why but grape juice always gives me stomach pain. Most fruit juices don't totally agree with me, but grape is BAD.
